If you follow us on Facebook, you may have seen a video I posted about this last week.

I had to share the weirdest thing that happened on Tuesday. Have you ever heard a common theme and thought “hmmm, this is definitely God (or the universe, or whatever you believe) trying to tell me something!”?

Here’s the order of events:

1) My husband Kevin had a meeting with his accountability buddy and they discussed how the most successful people have one thing in common; they just don’t quit!

We have talked about this before too. If you just stick with something, you’ll eventually be really successful. His friend is in the insurance business, where less than 1% of people who start with it actually stick with it. The ones who stick around and don’t quit end up being very successful! I remember this from when I had a sales business as well.

2) Tuesday was my nephew’s 9th birthday. He was down in Maryland visiting his Dad, so around dinnertime, we had a family Zoom call to wish him a Happy Birthday. He just so happened to be wearing a t-shirt that said “Never Quit”!

3) After successfully putting both babies to bed, we were able to sit down and watch some TV. On the show we were watching (Season 6 of “Alone”, for those of you wondering), one of the contestants said “The best advice I have ever received was from my grandfather. He said ‘no matter what you do, don’t quit. As long as you don’t quit, you will succeed’ This is something I live by”.

Weird, right?! I took this as a sign that I need to talk to you about it.

When it comes to health and fitness, as long as you don’t give up, you will succeed.

You just have to define what success looks like and ask yourself if it’s realistic.

It’s easy to feel like “quitting” when you don’t see the scale move like you want it to, or if you feel like you did really well for an entire week, but you end up gaining a pound. Is that really a reason to quit?!

As long as you’re consistently doing what you’re supposed to do, and you don’t quit, you will be healthier and more fit. It’s that simple!

If you don’t know what you’re supposed to be doing, or if you feel like you’re not doing it right, seek help! Find someone who can get you on track and help you to make sure you’re being efficient with your food and exercise. In my humble opinion, that would be our team 😉

One thing I’ve learned in my life is this; most people don’t realize how close they are to “winning” when they’re about to give up!

If you keep pushing through, you will get over that “hump” or that “curve” and you will never look back. Quitting should never be an option.

If you quit, it’s going to be so much harder to get yourself back on track. Your health and fitness is a journey, It’s not a destination. You owe it to yourself to push through the tough times!
